Rt. front and rear power windows do not operate. 2. Rt. power mirror does not work. 3. Door locks (on my 1996 ZJ driver's still worked) do not work. 4. Keyless entry does not work. Then the problem is the passenger door module, which is contained in the power window / door lock switch assembly.

Step 4 – Check the power window switches. If the windows issue is isolated – for example, it’s only one rear window that won’t work – then check the window switch. There’s a circuit breaker for the different sets of windows (rear and front), so if only one is not working, chances are the switch isn’t working.

Electric window problem. by DrDeAtH » Sat Jan 27, 2018 1:05 pm. Drivers side window packed up yesterday, its not the switch as I've tried a new one to no avail. Passenger window still works as it should from both switches. Anyone have an idea or a wiring diagram. There are no clues in the BEMM.

If there is power, the problem could be the window motor or its wires between the switch and the motor. Knowing there is continuity at the entrance and exit points of the switch confirms the problem is not with the switch. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 at the Electric Window Motor, or Test the Motor with a Working Power Window Regulator
Just checked out the switch and it seemed to work okay. And I could tell 12 volts was getting to the motor and that it was reversed when I reversed the switch. But could BOTH motor work and then be broken intermittently like that? Maybe it's a heat issue (live in Phoenix, AZ) . . . what parts could be susceptible to heat? –
To remove the driver-side Power Window Control Panel/Finisher - 1) Remove tab (cover) at the bottom of the door pull handle (yes, you have to look down into the pull handle to see it); 2) Remove the Philips screw and remove (lift off) the pull handle; 3) Insert a cloth-covered screw driver (duct tape may also be used) at the rear of the Power
Subaru Dealers are given 0.2 hours to replace the drivers master window control switch under warranty. It took me 0.5 hours (for no known reason I cleaned the dust off of the inside door panel) and the job seemed straight forward.

A faulty power window switch keeps the window from going up but may allow it to go down. This means the switch has no problem working on the side managing the downward rolling. A broken wire due to flex when opening the door may also be the reason the window stops going up.

medic225 » I was having problems with the power window switch not working on my 2000 V70. Most windows worked fine except one that would not roll up using the driver door switch. That window worked fine using the switch on its door. I was able to take it apart, clean and reassemble the driver door switch and now it works. Here is what I did:

Power window problem Only the driver's side power window in my 2005 touring worked and all the other 3 windows stopped working. After reading the threads in this forum I bought a used switch from e bay for $45 and replaced it and now everything works perfect. Many thanks to all and especially for posting pictures.

The other five switches related to the windows do not work or illuminate when the lights are on. The other two switch modules (lock / unlock) and the (side mirror controls) work as they should. The switches are illuminated when the lights are on and they operate correctly. Passenger door: Window switch does not work, just like the driver door .
